This is a flamingo with her/his head near the ground (and turning it around), the way they normally eat...

Well...time to choose my winner in my challenge, "LOL." Your capture is in my top three for the win. I keep gong back and forth to decide. Very difficult. This photo is definitely funny. Anyway...I will decide today. Good Luck!!

Location
The photo was taken in the best zoo of Europe: Pairi Daiza located in Brugelette Belgium.Time
In the morning at 11:30 A.M. inside a building.Lighting
Ambient light only shot in RAW (of course) so I handled the WB.Equipment
Nikon D850 with a Nikon AFS 200-500 mm f/5.6 VR @ 500 mm. No Flash, no tripod, handheld.Inspiration
Standing on one feet, with a dark background in a normal but in this view rather funny position.Editing
It is cropped from landscape to portrait. The background is a bit darkened, it got a bit more contrast and vibrance and minimal sharpening. In my camera bag
Nikon D850 (and often a Nikon D800). My favourite: Tamron 70-200 mm f2.8 G2, Nikon AFS 24-70 mm f2.8 or Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art. Sometimes the Nikon AFS 200-500 mm f5.6. I have a tripod or monopod with me, but I seldom use them.Feedback
Be aware of a good position, so you can use other things (handrail, wall, tree, aso) to stabilise your capture. Have eye for the surrounding. A lot of people focus on the subject and forget that the surrounding is also important and..... take time to make a beautiful composition (with or without a crop). Last but not least try to get a good dynamic range. For most camera's is one stop under- and overexposure no problem, all the information is still there and can be recovered in the post-processing. I check (center weighted metering) always the darkest and brightest parts. My camera is always in M mode.
