Behind The Lens

Location

I dug a hole 12 feet deep and as wide as an SUV to cope with the extreme emotions I was going through and called it my “photo studihole” and I spent alot of time in there trying to escape reality.

Time

It was the late afternoon at dusk.

Lighting

The sun was behind the mountain but it was still light outside. My favorite time of day when I’m not being sunburnt.

Equipment

Just my camera, a Nikon D5000

Inspiration

My son and I were playing with his toys and he was throwing dirt clods trying to make it look like he was trying to save the marine from the dinosaur.

Editing

No post processing.

In my camera bag

Just my camera, an telephoto lens, and some snacks, an emergency blanket, a pencil and paper, and a whistle.
