Behind The Lens

Location

This self portrait was captured in one of my models condo (i was doing fine art photography for them). I was inspired by the The condo's exquisite natural light that streamed in through the windows, casting a soft and ethereal glow across the room. Inspired by the interplay of this light and shadow, I sought to harness the captivating essence of the space, capturing myself in a moment of timeless beauty.

Time

This image was captured during golden hour, between 4-5 pm, as the sun gracefully began its descent on the horizon. The warm, soft hues of the setting sun flooded the condo, enveloping the scene in a tranquil and enchanting ambiance.

Lighting

In crafting this image, my intention was to harness the inherent beauty of natural lighting, allowing it to sculpt the scene with a delicate interplay of dark and light. Through careful composition and timing, I sought to capture the mesmerizing contrast created by the striking interplay of shadows and highlights. Each element of the frame was meticulously considered to accentuate the captivating dynamics of the light, resulting in a visually arresting composition that celebrates the enchanting nuances of natural illumination.

Editing

With a minimalist approach to post-processing, I delicately enhanced the image by adjusting the lighting to amplify contrast and imbuing it with a touch of grain for a nostalgic, vintage aesthetic. By subtly refining the lighting and texture, I aimed to preserve the authenticity of the scene while infusing it with a timeless charm reminiscent of classic film photography. Whether I'm capturing the intricate details of a scene with my camera setup or quickly documenting spontaneous moments with my iPhone, I'm always prepared to seize the perfect shot, no matter the occasion or purpose.
