Green Spider Delight -- take one bunch of flowers (must have bonus spider) add to the inside of soft box, shine light straight through top of box down. Then, mix in a little speed light (600EX RT preferred) really, really close - this one is just outside the frame. Add an ST-E3-RT and develop master-slave relationship thoroughly before proceeding.
Set camera on M, ISO 100 is good, f16 is nice --100mm macro lens is even better! Meter with ETTL II, press shutter button until desired result is achieved. There ya go, my recipe for Green Spider Delight. Enjoy! (no spiders were harmed in the making of this image)

This image was taken in my home studio. I've taken half the living room as mine, its full of photo toys and things that I think I might use in an image some day.Time
This was late in the afternoon in a controlled lighting environment.Lighting
The subject is inside a table top soft box, with one main light over top. I've then brought in a 600 EX RT speedlight, placed to the left very close, it is just outside of the frame.Equipment
This image was captured with my Canon EOS 650D and a 100mm 2.8 macro lens. Lighting is a 600 EX RT speedlight an ST-E3-RT plus one continuous 5500K fluoro light.Inspiration
This image started off to be about the gorgeous pink lillies, but then I found the spider that came with them.Editing
There is minimal post-processing in this image. In photoshop I've bumped the contrast, saturated the colours and sharpened the image. In my camera bag
I like to be prepared for almost anything. I carry to much with me most of the time. If I can have the car nearby, there will be more stuff in it, like a monopod, tripods, light stands, reflectors, diffusers, knee pads, picnic blanket and small folding chair. I've moved forward from the 650D and now my bag always has my Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Canon lenses (EF 16-35mm 2.8L II, EF 100mm 2.8 macro, EF 400mm 5.6L), and a Samyang 8mm 3.5 fisheye CS II. At least 1 Canon 600EX RT speedlight and an ST-E3-RT. Filters - polarizer and an ND10, lens cleaner, and air rocket, extra batteries for everything and memory cards.Feedback
This is the story I have posted with the image on viewbug, don't get frustrated if it doesn't work the first time, try again and have fun!
