Location
This photo was taken on a bike path that runs behind my house.Time
This was taken in August of last year. It was evening time, around 7pm, and my wife and I were on a walk with our two children. I remember walking past I trail sign and seeing this spider just hanging out and upon closer look I could see that it appeared that it was caring for eggs.Lighting
It was a beautiful and warm evening. The sun was just starting to set which made the light just pop where we were.Equipment
I used a Sony A7III and the Sigma 105mm macro lens. This was taken handheld without the use of flashInspiration
I love nature photography and especially like macro in nature. Seeing this spider caring for its eggs was just an amazing sightEditing
I started off in Lightroom to do some basic edits such as white balance and color edits. I finished in Photoshop with some color fill gradientsIn my camera bag
I always carry my A7III and at least my 105mm macro. I will also grab my 35mm and 24mm depending on where I’ll be taking pictures. I have 2 RGB panel lights that are always in there as wellFeedback
You’ll be amazed at what you can find just walking around out in nature. This was right on the side of a busy bike path. It’s easy to miss something so small so be sure to always look around for inspiration
