I have been to this location about half a dozen times before to shoot. This particular time I went right after a light snow at sunrise. I like to place myself in a lot of my photos, so with a bunch of running around and fiuring out my shot, I eventually stepped right over the camera, through the ice and walked to a rock about 50 feet out. I loved the trail of broken ice and the light sugary snowfall.
