One of my better photos I believe that I’ve taken earlier in my photography journey that kept me going with a lot of excitement. This is a reservoir close to where I grew up in New Jersey. That summer was incredibly dry so the water levels of all the lakes and reservoirs were a lot lower than normal. I set out that evening to shoot the sunset hoping for something good! I was treated with one of the most powerful sunsets I’ve ever seen. I remember I got a text from my friend Tim while I was out shooting saying “Look at the sunset!”. I was pretty excited to tell him that I was out with my camera watching it all go down. It was pretty incredible. This photo is what’s called a Long Exposure, meaning the shutter in the camera is open for an extended time, blurring anything that has motion. So I sat perfectly still…for 183 seconds to be exact, as colorful clouds flew by, resulting in a pretty fiery photo!
