Location
This photo was taken in my front yard. We have a swing by our lake and there were several Crocus flowers blooming.Time
Around 4:30 in the afternoonLighting
The sun was more in the west portion of the sky since it was later in the afternoon so it allowed me to work with shadows and lightingEquipment
Canon T7 Rebel. No special lenses or filters.Inspiration
My kiddo was playing in the yard and it was an absolutely beautiful day outside so I had my camera and I was ready for some spring shots. These little Crocus flowers were tiny but so stunning. They're only about 3 inches tall and I thought they deserved to be put in the spotlight and appreciated.Editing
I always do simple editing. Light adjustments, color adjustments, clarity and sharpness. I really wanted the flowers' colors to stand out so in this photo I desaturated all colors and then used an eraser tool to add the saturation back to the flowers ONLY so the purple and yellow would pop.In my camera bag
Camera, I do have several lenses and filters (I'm still learning and not sure what to use most of them for yet), extra memory cards. I do not have a tripod...yet.Feedback
Shoot from all angles. High, low, sides, top...everywhere. Choose a time of day when the sun isn't directly overhead but is more east or west so you can get some good natural shadows and highlights in the photo. ALWAYS take a lot of pictures and remember they won't all be amazing. In this shoot I ended up with 118 pictures and used 6 of them.
