This photo was taken on a small island in Florida, United States called North Captiva, during a family vacation as I was adventuring the island during sunset I was snapping photos of the ocean as dolphins use that time to feed close to shore and I was trying to capture their fins in their fins in the water but instead caught this gorgeous colorful sunsetTime
This photo was taken of course during the golden hour somewhere around 6pm in October, right as high tide began to set in and the sun was settingLighting
Although it did darken the photo slightly the lighting was 100% naturalEquipment
This was taken on a canon rebel t7i. With a canon 16-35mm L lens comInspiration
I love taking photos of sunsets as most do, but I was attempting to photograph dolphins close to shore feeding however I was fortunate enough to capture this amazing sunset insteadEditing
There wasn’t much post processing done to this photo as much of the work was done naturally by the sun setting. I simply brought the exposure down slightly and increased the saturation a bit to bring out the colors more.In my camera bag
Normally I carry of course my T7i and two lenses generally a 70-200mm and a prime lens as well as my extra batteries a Monopod and my iPad Pro. However thiss day I actually didn’t even have my bag on me as I just carried the camera and the 16-35mm canon L lens.Feedback
My advice... just shoot when I am out taking photos I don’t follow any rules or processes. I just shoot what I feel I would like to see I believe photography is art to follow rules and specific ways to shoot Steals away the art of the photo. Simply shoot and see what happens
