Location
This shot was taken in Quba, Azerbaijan. A fond traveller with a passion for Travel Photography, I love documenting these finer nuances during my Travels.Time
I was heading out on an over cast evening, to capture the beauty of all around our hotel. This beautiful patch of flowers caught my attention and held me captive for the rest of the evening. Such are the wonders of finding beauty in the little things.Lighting
Of course there ain't words enough to describe the beautiful light that is Golden Hour. Although the skies were grey and gloomy, there were moments like this that evening, when the clouds cleared the way slightly, for that beautiful tinge of Gold to make my shot a memorable one.Equipment
My Equipment is mainly Canon - Camera and lenses. Here I was using my Canon EOS 5D MkIV paired with my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS. No tripod was used. However I did get down and dirty with my camera for this Worms Eye View shot. My Aperture was wide open at f/4 and the was able to manage a sharp enough handheld shot atInspiration
I am of the belief that even the smallest detail will tell the story of a place. I had headed out to capture the beautiful wonders of nature all around, the mountains, trees, clouds and much more but ended up finding my joy in these flowers. The way they stood tall, almost reaching for the skies, ahh, I was in awe.Editing
I do believe in maintaining the beauty of the original shot, however, for this particular one, I worked on Photoshop to better the overall exposure, correct the white balance and make the colors of the sky/clouds pop. I loved how I could make my shot spectacular with some tweaks here and there. In my camera bag
Thanks to my Dad, a Canon SLR (Film) user, I was born biased to be a Canon lover. In my bag you'll find a Canon 5D Mk IV & 6D Mk I. Being a portrait Photographer with a penchant for travel photography as well, my Len kit mostly consists of prime lenses for my portraits / street / travel photography needs - Canon 28mm f/1.8 , 24-105mm f/4 , 50 mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.4 and 135mm f/1.4 . I also extensively use the Sigma Art 35mm for my street & portraits photography needs.Feedback
We take photographic adventures with an aim to shoot a certain way. But at times something new, something different appears and speaks more to our photographer soul. It is hence important not just to keep our eyes wide open, but to be ready accept that side road that might lead you to newer place, a better click. Remember to be prepared to take that step !
