Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Bowlees in Teesdale UK a small waterfall just before Sommerhill falls a well known local landmark

Time

It was around 08.00 in morning the air was quite crisp but the light was just right

Lighting

Just naturally lit a bit on the dark side but ideal for a long exposure without any filters as I'm not keen of putting more glass in font of glass

Equipment

Body a Nikon D600 lens Irix 15mm no filters no flash Benro tripod

Inspiration

Been there many times and the conditions weren't great too much water you can't get to it, poor lightning, not enough water. This time it all was good

Editing

Basically shadows and highlights didn't have to do anything else

In my camera bag

On this occasion I only packed light camera lens and tripod as had been to this location many times and knew what set up I needed

Feedback

Plan your shot in advance where to stand do I need waterproof footwear is it safe has it been raining or a dry spell nothing worse than a raging torrent or dry waterfall
