Location
It was taken from sand dunes just above the beach opposite Vestrahorn in IcelandTime
It was around 16.00 the sun was setting behind me but reflected off the clouds surrounding the mountainLighting
It was just lit naturally and just waited for the right light to happenEquipment
Shot with a Nikon D600 lens Nikon 25/85mm f/3.5 on a Benro ball head tripodInspiration
It was a planned stop on a trip around Iceland in the February of 2018 due to adverse weather conditions I didn't get there so was a prime stop in the return visit in November and why wouldn't you shoot it its awesome ????Editing
It was developed in lightroom but it didn't need much processing just highlights shadowsIn my camera bag
Camera of course spare batteries couple of lenses 25/85 Nikon and a Irix 15mm wide angle also Sigma 28mm sometimesFeedback
Good planning beforehand but always have a plan B C D because the weather doesn't always play fair visulise the shot your wanting move about try different pov's because you most likely traveled a long way and it's not much fun going back with nothing
