Behind The Lens

Location

A family trip to the enchanted forests of Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean, UK. The strobing light from the forest trees, and damp mossy logs have allowed the fungi and mushrooms to flourish.

Time

A midday photograph after a family picnic.

Lighting

All the lighting was natural lights filtering through the trees and branches.

Equipment

I have a Nikon D80 SLR which comes out occasionally. I usually armed with my trusty ???? iPhone. This was taken with an iPhone 6 but I now have an 8 plus which takes even better photos.

Inspiration

Inspiration is everywhere. It was a chance location and hidden cave area. The mushrooms were clinging to a fallen log and growing in the sunlight.

Editing

I rarely process after shooting. At best a change from colour to black and white.

In my camera bag

Sadly my bag is depleted. I carry a Nikon D80 with 35mm lens and a 70x300 telephoto which is not so good when suddenly you need something close as it’s then a quick lens change!

Feedback

Just grab the opportunity. With modern digital photos take loads! It’s easy to delete them later than regret that missed opportunity.
