Location
This photo was taken in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park In South AfricaTime
This photo was taken after a bad dust/sand storm. the Giraffe Silhouetted against the sky and the colour of the sky, to me is what makes this photo. There were a number of Giraffe present and these two were having a fight and we could hear the impact of their necks against the others neck was loud. We watched them for a time but as it was 07h12 PM we had to get back to camp.Lighting
The lighting was very good and the dust in the air added to the scene.Equipment
I used a Sony A57 with a Sony 70-300 zoom lens.Inspiration
The animals silhouetted against the dust filled sky and the action taking place was very exciting.Editing
I had to remove a few dust spots but otherwise nothing moreIn my camera bag

What I have learned is to drive slowly and do not upset animals or get too close, If you re patient and sit quietly in your car you will be surprised how relaxed the animal become. a dust storm is not something you see every day, so when you are lucky enough to experience one in desert conditions, be on the lookout for that magic scene.
