Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken around 15 miles west of Tucson, AZ. The desert is one of the best spots to take photos.

Time

I remember being cloudy all day, couldn't get a good shot around the city. I left the city in the afternoon and found a nice spot to shoot this photo.

Lighting

I set my phone to HDR to capture a balance of the light and darkness.

Equipment

I forgot which phone I used. I set my phone on top of rocks.

Inspiration

I have always enjoyed the sunsets in Tucson. Especially in the middle of the desert. One of those opportunities I couldn't miss.

Editing

I played with light and shadow editing on my phone with the app Snapseed.

In my camera bag

Phone and Nikon. Phone for quick and easy use. Nikon for more complicated shots. 85mm, 50mm, 35mm and 35-85mm zoom lens for Nikon.

Feedback

Imagination is the greatest asset to carry. Sometimes may be limited by finances, but never limited of creativity. A phone can be used really good for a talented photographer.
