Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was take in my house, in Northern Italy.

Time

I photographed it during the morning. Usually I make food photographs with natural light, and in the morning, having the windows to the south, I have a good brightness

Lighting

As I said, shooting with natural light. A window covered by a white curtain not to have hard shadows, a panel to lighten up, simple true!

Equipment

This was shot with Nikon D800, 24/70 lens and Manfrotto tripod.

Inspiration

Well, love for sweets inspires me! Seriously, I like to photograph food like that, which expresses the simplicity of "homemade", with a rustic taste

Editing

Shooting always in raw, but in this type of photography the postproduction is minimal, just an adjustment in Camera Raw

In my camera bag

In my bag can not miss: My faithful Nikon D800, a 24/70 and 70/300 lens, some filter and the Manfrotto tripod. I like to move light

Feedback

I recommend simplicity. A good care in preparing the set, simplicity does not mean doing things without studying them. Shoot with natural light if you want that taste of rustic, taste of home. Everything here, nothing complex. No great equipment is needed. Ah, I forgot, you will need a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, who cook for you, if you do not know how to do it!
