Location
The photo was taken in the garden of my new house last winter.Time
I took the picture on a cold misty winter morning, taking advantage of the diffused light that the fog creates.Lighting
The light is natural, diffused and soft, typical of the foggy days here in the north of Italy.Equipment
I used my nikon d800 and a Sigma 70/300 lens, freehand without a tripod. I used the maximum aperture and macro setting to create an extremely small depth of field.Inspiration
I like to photograph nature, its details. I love looking at flowers, insects, dew, ice, and trying to extrude a detail from the context. The climate of that day, foggy and cold, already had a poetic taste in it, which I simply tried to capture.Editing
I Always shooting in raw, so as to have total control over the photograph. Post production in this case is simply the control of tonal values ??to create the contrast between the purple of the flowers and the gray-green background. In my camera bag
In my bag can not miss: My faithful Nikon D800, a 24/70 and 70/300 lens, some filter and the Manfrotto tripod. I like to move light.Feedback
The shot is only the final part, the result of a long observation of what surrounds us. No subject is trivial, no subject deserves to be underestimated. We must have the patience to wait for the right moment, the right direction, the right light, which enhances the poetics inherent in it.
