Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo of a 100 year old factory near my home. The building on the left is an administration building and the building on the right is the factory building which is a city block long. They still make special oversized metal containers. They are the Finch Company

Time

I took this about 11:00 in the morning with the sun beginning to rise directly overhead.

Lighting

No

Equipment

Just used my Cannon Camera on Auto, hand held, natural light

Inspiration

I was just on a walk around town looking for anything that would look good in Black and white

Editing

Yes, I always shoot in Raw so there is some tweaking needed before converting it to JPEG. I then use Topaz filters to clean it up and sharpen before converting to Black and White

In my camera bag

Usually I just have my Cannon or my Droid cell phone. My Droid takes some great pictures as well.

Feedback

Just try to look around you, Some of the most common scenes can become great photos with a little imagination. Don't be afraid to experiment in Post processing. Try to be creative.
