Behind The Lens

Location

This was photographed in the Czech republic about 10km's from where I live on a forest road

Time

It was late afternoon with and we had some awesome cloud cover which helped with the tonalities of the image

Lighting

This was back in the days when everything I shot was with strobes :-) I fell in love with the Mettle 600w portable strobe and used it religiously! In the case of this image I used a large 120cm umbrella for the soft light pattern.

Equipment

In this image I used my trusty D800 and an old 80-200mm f2.8 push pull lens. Mettle 600w portable strobe shooting through a 120cm umbrella

Inspiration

Our friend owns this beetle that they restored and I though a modern retro take on this together with autumn oranges and yellows might have been a good combo!

Editing

I did the usual Lightroom adjustments

D810, D800, D750 Lenses: 85 1.8, 80-200mm f2.8, 135mm f2 and 200mm f2
