Location
This photo was taken in Albany, NY's Washington Park. Every year the city plants tulips for Tulip Fest they hold every May.Time
Every year I try to visit the park to take pictures of the tulips before they are gone. This particular day, it had rained earlier in the day and I thought it was a good time to head to the park. I love flowers with raindrops on them. This was taken midafternoon in early May.Lighting
There was nothing special about the lighting. All natural, overcast day, not long after the rain had fallen.Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T6i, no tripod, Aperture f/6.3?ISO 400?Shutter 1/125?Focal Length 47/1Inspiration
My inspiration for this photo was the colors in the tulips and the raindrops.Editing
I did no special post processing to this photo. I try to keep my photos as natural as possible. In my camera bag
I have my backpack that I carry everything with me, which includes...My Canon EOS Rebel T6i; EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens; EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens; 500mm Preset f/8 Telephoto Lens; 0.43x Wide Angle; 2.2x Telephoto Lens; various filters; and my tripod.Feedback
I find that a good light overcast day works best for my photography because I tend to keep it natural. With the tulips, for instance, I tend to take several shots at different angles, at various spots of one particular flower bed. Up close, or at a distance. I also will switch lenses for either more depth of field or macro shooting. Don't be afraid to think outside the box and try different things. You might be surprised at the outcome.
