The photo was taken in Tanzania, at the Serengeti National Park.Time
It was June, winter in Tanzania. The rainy weather was almost over but the sky was still full of clouds. The sunset and the sky was beautiful, with colors that emphasized the African warmthLighting
I used the real light without changing it because it makes true the sense of magnificence and majesty of this wonderful landscape and the colors of savannah, rock and lion. I wanted to convey the sense of peace that was there and the natural warm light helps my goalEquipment
This was shot on a Canon 5d mark IV, with an 28-300mm f/6,3, iso 125, 1/160 secInspiration
I wanted to represent the beauty of the landscape, showing its immensity and its wild nature. The rule of third helped me capture the details of the prairie, highlighting the rock and the lion. This scene reminded me of a Disney movie and that's why I called it "The rock of the King"Editing
I worked with Lightroom for post production, improving the colors of the rock and the lion, to which I increased the brightness. On the toner curve I lowered the dark colors and enhanced the lights, increasing the contrast of the landscape and the definition was improved by increasing the sharpnessIn my camera bag
I always have my Canon 5d IV with me and I use a Tamron 28-300 lens when I can not change the lens, a CANON EF 17-35mm f2,8 series L for landscape photos and photos at night, a 100-400 zoom with 2x extension, when I need to photograph far away, a 12mm f/2.8 ED AS IF NCS UMC Fisheye Lens. I also uses UV filters or degrading filters when neededFeedback
my advice is to keep the picture as faithful as possible to reality without using filters that can alter its value and natural beauty. I often see improper use of filters that change wonderful landscapes, making them not real
