The photo was taken in Norway, at the Svalbard Islands, climbing along the Larsbreen GlacierTime
It was October 24th and there were about 2 hours of stronger light and then several hours of shade. We left at 10am and arrived at the top of the glacier at 13:53. The descent was complicated because the slope was never done and we arrived at the base camp at 16:30. when it was almost darkLighting
I used the real light without changing it because it makes true the sense of magnificent and majesty of this wonderful landscape. I wanted to put the focus on how small the men are in comparison to the greatness of the landscape and the natural light helps my aimEquipment
This was shot on a Canon 5d mark IV, with an 28-300mm f/4,5, iso 640, 1/80 secInspiration
I wanted to represent the beauty of the landscape, showing its immensity and its hardness, capturing the details of the mountain carved by winds and iceEditing
I worked with Lightroom for the post production, enhancing the colors of the rock and slightly reducing the fog. On the toner curve I lowered the dark colors and exalted the lights, increasing the contrast of the landscape and the definition was improved by increasing the sharpnessIn my camera bag
I always have my Canon 5d IV with me and I use a Tamron 28-300 lens when I can not change the lens, a 16-28mm with f / 2.8 for landscape photos and photos at night, a 100-400 zoom with 2x extension, when I need to photograph far away. I also uses UV filters or degrading filters when neededFeedback
my advice is to keep the picture as faithful as possible to reality without using filters that can alter its value and natural beauty. I often see improper use of filters that change wonderful landscapes, making them not real
