During a stormy day we decided to head to the Trianon, which is a castle in Versailles commissioned by Louis XIV for Mme de Montespanm with whom he was having a long-time affair. This amazing castle is famous for its opulence and for its peristyle that displays the finest marbles available at the time. However, due to the weather we had very little expectation of being able to take a good picture of it. When the castle closed, it was a downpour and we opted to stay in the peristyle since the car was a solid twenty minute walk. Finally, a mere fifteen minutes before the all domain closes the sun showed up and offered us this amazing perspective with a beautiful after-the-rain sky.
