Location
This photo was taken on the shores of Loon Lake, In southern MinnesotaTime
It was a crisp and foggy fall morning.Lighting
Mid morning lighting from the east south east. Shot this in a shaded spot facing the sun.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon 85mm macro lens, situated on a tripod, and no flash.Inspiration
When I awoke at 4 am I knew this would be a great day to get some photos of the fall color. Luckily I had only a half day of work. I tossed my camera bag into my pickup and headed off to work. Busted my but to get out before the sun had burned the for away. As I was shooting an island on the lake, I turned around to see these dying wild flower blooms with cobwebs lined in dew. The foggy conditions added the feel of the photo. So I snapped on my Macro lens and turned my focus to the shore line.Editing
Post processing was done in Lightroom. In my camera bag
My camera bag always has my entire gamut of gear. The camera of first and foremost, three fully charged batteries, A sturdy tripod. 2 wide angle lenses, a telephoto lens, and a macro lens. ND filters, Polarizing filters, remote shutter release, and a lens cleaning kit. I also have apps installed on my phone to help calculate the settings needed to use the 10 stop nd filter, and one for a remote shutter. Just incase...Feedback
The best advice I can offer is this... Get out there. Look around, and don't be afraid to change your shooting styles. Try something new Let Mother nature provide your canvas, and you decide how to capture it.
