Behind The Lens

Location

In a park near our Studio in Matosinhos, Oporto

Time

This was later on the afternoon

Lighting

We search for a location with no direct sun, shaded by trees all over. The idea was to have a flat natural lighting and the only strong light source was brought by a very low small grided softbox with a speed light.

Equipment

Nikon D750 with the Tamron 24-70 2.8

Inspiration

Just wanted to join two strong elements in Nature brought together: The dead leaves and the Pregnant young woman.

Editing

Yep! Lightroom for some exposure and contrast adjusting and Photoshop for leaves coloring, overall color toning, enhancing of directional lighting and some dodge and burning on her beautiful skin.

In my camera bag

Nikon D750, D810, Sigma 50mm 1.4, Nikon 85mm 1.8 and Tamron 24-70 2.8. Always a reflector and a small softbox with some speed lights!

Feedback

Preparation in advance. Scout for the perfect location and test the lighting as she was naked and we didn´t have much time to get THE SHOT! :)
