Love this image, well done! how did you set it up? I love the positioning of the light falling across the face.

At the time i was really into "one light setups" as i find them to be much dramatic. In this photo i used a 120cm octo softbox with a honeycomb backlit at 3 o´clock.Equipment
Shot with Nikon D750 and the Sigma 50mm 1.4 ArtInspiration
I wanted to explore the effect of dramatic light on African childs, as the effect of the light on dark skins is very unique.Editing
I´ve done some skin retouching, color grading and small light adjustmentsIn my camera bag
I usually carry a Nikon D750 and a D810. For lenses the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art, the Tamron 24-70 2.8 and the Nikon 85mm 1.8. Some speed lights too and of course a reflector!Feedback
This is a very easy setup! My only advice is to use a single light setup and working with different spots to see the dramatic changes on our model! It is too fun!
