This photo was taken in my friends garage.Time
I was quite late in the evening in winter, maybe around 7 or 8 so it was pitch black outside!Lighting
Two spot lamps were used from to corners. Nothing fancy, just general bedroom spotlamps.Equipment
This was shot on a Niton D3000 (my first dslr!) If I remember correctly. Lense used was a nikor 50mm 1.8 and then a tripod is essential for this kind of work.Inspiration
I'm a massive fan of horror movies and I literally shot this withing an hour of seeing 'The Conjouring' for the first time. Horror movies are my main inspiration.Editing
Yes, work like this would be a lot harder without (although not impossible). Photoshop was used to add/remove different layers of different photos and then an identically positioned background photo. The chair my model is sat on was actually stacked on tables and crates, but with the power of layers in Photoshop I was able to make them just disappear! In my camera bag
The one thing besides a camera body I would never leave without would be the ol' faithful 50mm!Feedback
