I took the photo in the garden of my parents in Austria. My cat was hiding in the plants and I took the chance to capture the moment. It's a nice memory of my cat amd all those times I looked into her eyes.Time
I don't really remember, but I think it was an afternoon in summer.Lighting
As Pezi was hiding in the shadow of the plants, there are some beautiful light flares, that make the shot even more special.Equipment
This pic was taken with my dads NIKON D40X, as I didn't have my own equipment by then. So it was one of my early shots, probably more luck than skills, but pretty good result.Inspiration
In my early youth I used to borrow my dads camera and go for walks or wander around in our garden, taking pictures of anything I considered beautiful or interesting. That was when I developed my love for photographs of flowers and animals. I usually prefer models, that aren't aware of me taking a pic, so nature is good victim ;)Editing
I sometimes use programs to adjust the contrast or colors, but as far as I remembber not for this one.In my camera bag
My camera bag is always ready for shooting days or so called "photo-walks". Most important: my camera. Now a NIKON D5300 with a 18-300 lens. Also necessary: an extra battery pack and memory card - you never know! As my photo walks can sometimes take hours, I make sure to have a bottle of water and something to drink with me. Because I like to collect things other than photos, I alway have a little bag and a pocket knive with me. And, just in case, a small first-aid-kit and napkins.Feedback
Since animals are unpredictable, I advice you to never force the perfect shot. Be patient, take your time and always be ready. You never know :)
