Location
This picture was taken at a local park in Miami.Time
I usually take my pictures one to two hours before sunset time. This was a long photoshoot with 4 amazing little models on a crappy weather. By the time we took this picture it was almost dark! It started raining 5 minutes later.Lighting
I didnt use any lighting equipment. I work exclusively with natural light.Equipment
This was taken on a Nikon D7000 with an 85mm lens at f1.8. No flash or tripod used.Inspiration
Disney and its wonders. Im a Disney junkie! But mostly Annie Leibovitz with her princesses series. I admire her work.Editing
I did, obviously, lol. I added the castle, the birds and the glitters as the magic reference. In my camera bag
My 135mm f.2 lens rarely leaves my D750. They work wonders together! I also pack a 85mm 1.8 and a 60mm micro lens for little details. Im a portrait photographer. I shoot children and babies mostly so even though i have a fisheye, zoom and a wide angle lenses i almost never use them.Feedback
When shooting children, patience is a must. You need to understand that they will cry, misbehave, run away and do as they please. Every kid is different and you need to learn how to approach them, make them feel comfortable with your presence and let them be themselves. You will often have to improvise and even play pretend with the bigger ones and sometimes planning ahead won’t work but in the end, the resulting images will impress you.
