Behind The Lens

Location

Photo taken at Lunan Bay in the north east area of Scotland, where I live since 2007

Time

It was about 5 o'clock in the morning on friday 22 of April. I remember that day very well becouse it was a Earth Day. Me and couple of friends decided to celebrate it by going to the beach early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise and take a few photographs

Lighting

with the sun coming up and lightning the clouds I thought it woulld be good idea to use 10 stop nd filter to give the scene a little bit more dramatic look

Equipment

I've used my canon 1100d with 18-55mm kit lens a tripod , 10 stop nd filter and a remote trigger

Inspiration

Silhouette of the person takin the photograph and enjoying this beautiful morning was my inspiration to take this particular shot.

Editing

I did process the photo in lightroom, adjusted highlights and shadows a little bit.

In my camera bag

In my bag I usualy have a canon 1100d, my only camera so far, 50mm prime lens, 18-105mm telephoto lens, external flash with spare batteries and a tripod

Feedback

My advice would be to wake up early and be on the location well before sunrise to get a chance to know the place before the moment comes and to double check your gear before you even go, cards, batteries, tripod etc.
