This photo was taken in my garden here in Johannesburg after an afternoon rainstorm.Time
This photo was taken just before the golden hour, after a lovely afternoon rainstorm on a Saturday late afternoon in April 2016. I loved walking around the garden with the smell of rain in the air. I was using the afternoon to learn more about subjects and posing.Lighting
I loved the soft but still bright light and it was just before the golden hour.Equipment
The shot was taken with a Canon EOS1000D and the Canon 18-55mm lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I was trying to photograph the storm but after the storm, the garden looked so fresh. I wanted to capture the water droplets on my favourite rose.Editing
No, I didn't do anything to the photo. I very rarely do any post-processing as I am still learning. In my camera bag
In my bag, I keep my Canon EOS 1000D with the Canon 18-55mm lens and my Sigma 70-300mm 1:4-56 lens and I always have the Sigma's lens hood with me just in case.Feedback
Look for the right time for the best lighting quality and have fun.
