Thank you all - I shall be out there soon with my cameras

Behind The Lens

Location

I was fortunate enough to be walking out onto my rear porch when I saw next door's cat Tammy peering over the roof off a shed.

Time

This was taken late afternoon when the sun wasn't bathing the porch.

Lighting

Natural lighting.

Equipment

Taken with one of my old cameras a Canon EOS with no flash, tripod, just with the natural lighting.

Inspiration

Thought it would make my grandchildren happy. Thank you for your remark about making my grandchildren happy although that was not the intention. I was lucky as the cat was used to me walking through the door to the back yard and must have felt comfortable.

Editing

None whatsoever.

In my camera bag

I have a lot of equipment going back to the 1960s using a 35mm Asahi Pentax with a variety of lenses having covered some of the Bush Wars in Africa. Much later was given another Pentax with more lenses as the owner a friend of mine was going digital Sometimes I used my partner's Kodak and take the Canon on trips to the Greek Islands. I am about to begin using film again and have just had my old Pentax cameras out and cleaning them.

Feedback

No real advice. This was a lucky shot as the cat was normally shy. I was in the right place at the right time.
