Location: Yosemite National Park. Contact me for photo workshops, photo editing, photo tours of San Diego, and product promotions. _______________________________________ I took this photo at midnight from the walkway at Cook's Meadow just as the moon bow started its journey across the base of the falls. It's amazing how much moonlight illuminates the landscape, even at night. Also known as spray bows, or lunar rainbows, this amazing site at Yosemite Falls comes into alignment only a few days each year. For the creation of a moon bow, you need clear skies, enough water in the falls to create misty conditions, dark skies, and bright moonlight.
