Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my visit of Fata Morgana greenhouse in botanical garden in Prague in 2009.

Time

Photo was taken around 10 am. It is early after opening time, so greenhouse is not so crowded and there is more space and time for taking pictures.

Lighting

There was no much light - greenhouse, cloudy weather, so I have to wait for little hole in clouds for more natural light.

Equipment

Sony A-700, Sigma 105/2.8 EX macro lens

Inspiration

I like this particular greenhouse, there is always a lot of opportunities - flowers, butterflies etc. I am often tying to find some patterns or details during my shootings.

Editing

There is just small portion of post process - small crop, increased contrast through "S" curve in tone curve.

In my camera bag

Today I have in my bag Canon cameras - Canon 5DmkIV, Canon 7DmkII and variety of lenses. For macro shots I am using know Canon 100/2.8L macro or IRIX 150/2.8 Macro

Just look around, walk slowly and try to look for patterns, colours, detail. You will be rewarded with view of more complex world.
