Location
This photo is my husband. It was a very cold winter day & he was dressed to go muzzle loader hunting/black powder. He was on his way into the woods when I called for him to turn around so I could photograph his face.Time
It was a spur of the moment shot. He was heading out, early afternoon- when I decided it would make a cool shot.Lighting
Nothing special about the lighting in this photo as it is outdoor & all natural.Equipment
I used a Cannon T2i w/telephoto 75-300 lens. Free hand & natural light.Inspiration
My husband inspired me to take this photo. He is often the subject of many of my portrait photos. He is an facinating person inside & out & always try to capture that in photos.Editing
This started out as a color photo. I was experimenting with a new editing tool when I changed it to black & white & added some HDR.In my camera bag
I almost always carry two cameras. A small Olympus sp-56ouz and my Cannon T2i that has two lenses. Along with business cards, charger, extra batteries & some other odds & ends.Feedback
Always keep a camera with in arms reach because life is FULL of photographic opportunitys. I have shot some really awesome photos at unexpected times, simply because I always carry a camera.
