Location
This photo was taken at Mountsberg Conservation authority. I took part in a photo shoot on raptors.Time
It was around one in the afternoon and we were all in the bright sun.Lighting
I just used exposure compensation to darken the image in camera, then a few adjustments in photoshop elements raw.Equipment
I used a Canon t2i on a tripod, with a borrowed 500mm tamron lens.Inspiration
I was with a group of photographers all grouped together and decided to move away from the pack. Don't think the bird liked the idea and started flapping its wings. So i quickly got the tripod down to its level and started shooting.Editing
I shoot in RAW so I do adjustments only to fix the lighting, shadows and highlights. In my camera bag
i have now upgrades my camera to a Canon T5i, (my last one had an accident with some rocks and water). I always have my 75-300 f4-5.6, a sigma 10 to 20mm 1.4-5.6 and a 90mm tamron 2.8 macroFeedback
As i am learning to do now is to move around, take pictures from different angles if you can. The way the light hits your subject can change the mood of the picture. Or in this case get the subject to strike a pose for you.
