Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken on a trip from Michigan to Tennessee. Taken from the car in a parking lot across from this shot. I'm a self taught photographer and need all the practice I can get.Time
This photo was taken at midday with the sun high in the sky and very little shadowing on the building making for good contrast colors.Lighting
I like the fact that the sky is solid blue and all the colors of the building and crane pop against the blue void.Equipment
For this photo I used my Canon EOS 20D with the 28 X 300mm lens.Inspiration
I'm always looking for an interesting shot. I saw this and liked the fact that this was a building under construction. Then in examining the shot, I loved how all the colors compliment each other.Editing
No post processing for this shot.In my camera bag
I have my Canon EOS 20D with a 28 X 300mm lens, Canon EOS 7D with a 28 X 135mm lens, extra batteries, memory cards, and of course cleaning cloths and cleaner. I usually have my Kodak EasyShare camera also.Feedback
Simply put, keep your eyes peeled for shots that catch your eye. Sometimes I go out with the intent to take a certain shot and end up with something like this. I also miss shots because I'm too focused on getting the shot that I intended to get. So try to keep an open mind and good luck in getting your shot.
