Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Lake Michigan's Muskegon channel which is the home of the USS Silversides Submarine Museum.

Time

While visiting the Submarine Museum I turned my focus on the lovely Swans and was able to get this shot around 12:00 noon.

Lighting

It was a beautiful sunny day so no additional lighting was required.

Equipment

For this shot I used the Canon EOS 20D with a telephoto lens. No other equipment was used in this shoot.

Inspiration

As the day started with just sightseeing around the channel, the Swans became a focal point as they became more active. I was fortunate to capture this photo of the Mute Swan landing.

Editing

No post processing done for this photo.

In my camera bag

At the time of this photo I carried the Canon EOS 20D with the telephoto lens, extra battery, cleaning cloths and my old Kodak EasyShare. I now carry my Canon 7D, Canon 6D Mark 11, (lens) Sigma DG 150-500mm 1-5-6.3 APO HSM, Canon 28-135mm Macro 0.5m/1.6ft Ultrasonic, Canon 75-300mm 1.5m/4.9ft, extra batteries, flash attachment, lens cleaners and first aid kit.
