An outstanding photo. I love the way you framed the girl with the red leaves. Adding the red had and touch of red under the neutral coat was masterful. The look on the girls face is also perfect. Maybe I should get a Nikon!

A nice touch of crimson red in the two toned finely shaped leaves highlighting the lovely face

Location
This photo was taken on a cold overcast day at a local park. The leaves were fading fast so we were fortunate to find this one that matched her outfit so well.Time
I love to shoot on rainy cloudy days. It adds more mood and shadow and since it was so miserable outside we went in the early afternoon since we didn't have to worry about the sun.Lighting
With our giant soft box in the sky from the clouds I didn't need any additional off camera flash or reflectors.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D800, a 135 2.0 DC lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I had a Parisienne girl look in mind. Since it was in the fall I wanted to use reds and browns and I had the perfect little hat from an estate sale that perfected the look.Editing
I use Photoshop for post processing. I wanted her eyes to stand out so I brightened them some. I also added some vignette. In my camera bag
My D800 is always on me. Normally I shoot with my 85 1.4 but was really trying to get more familiar with this lens. I also keep my 70-200 close. At least until I get my dream lens, the 200 f2.Feedback
Know your lighting. Know what type and color light makes you happy. Know when and where that light is available so that you can be ready when it's there.
