I captured a photo of two marines of HMS Albion landing craft in Hernesaari cruise ship pier in Helsinki. Little info: A British Royal Navy landing craft visited Helsinki May 22-23, 2023, the Coastal Brigade informs.
It is possible for the public to get to know the HMS Albion ship at Munkkisaari pier on Tuesday from 15:00 to 18:00.
HMS Albion is the first of two ships of the Albion class. It was commissioned in 2001 and the ship has a crew of about 400 people. The ship is 176 meters long and almost 30 meters wide.
The naval visit will be hosted by the commander of the Coastal Brigade, Commodore Marko Laaksonen.
