Location
This photo was taken on my front lawn while I was allowing him to be off leash.Time
It was between 3 & 4 pm. We were watching my husband do work in the front yard.Lighting
It was an overcast day, kind of dreary, to be honest.Equipment
I used the Nikon Z5, 35mm lens, f/4, 1/500sec., ISO-3200Inspiration
This shih tzu is the most amazing little dog. Anytime I have camera in hand, he wants his photo taken. He has even been known to tug at my clothing to get my attention about photos. He even likes to mimic poses of the humans.Editing
I have some basic edits that I do in lightroom to all of my photos. slight tone curve, possibly lifting some shadows and dropping some highlights and adding some contrast. In my camera bag
I keep my Nikon Z5, with my 35mm lens and my 85 mm lens, of course extra batteries. I keep a remote, just in case I need it and a rainsuit for the camera.Feedback
Of course it helps to have a willing subject or at least a well trained furbaby. It can, however, be achieved with patience and opportunity.
