Location
At Bodiam Castle in East SussexTime
Around 2-3pm ish.Lighting
The cloud cover required a longer than usual exposure for the time of day.Equipment
A Nikon D5600 with a 16-85 mm lens. Handheld.Inspiration
I was only trying to take a scouting shot, I thought the weather would prevent a good shot that day. When it came to the edit I loved the atmosphere the cloud cover gave.Editing
I edited the photo in Lightroom. I needed to use the dehaze function with the editing brush to achieve the effect seen in the photo. I also adjusted the highlights and the exposure in parts of the image. In my camera bag
My d5600, a tripod, a standard and telephoto lens, a polarising filter and other useful accessories (spare batteries etc).Feedback
Never give up on a rainy day, there may be a cracking shot you weren’t expecting.
