Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was done at the Gardena Pass - a high mountain pass in the Dolomites of the South Tyrol in northeast Italy.

Time

It was very early in the morning at -15 degrees Celsius. Clear sky and air, to say with other words - best conditions.

Lighting

The light of the rising sun makes wonderful shapes and shadows in the snow and this place was an appropriate one.

Equipment

I used my second camera (SonyAlpha 900 with Vario-Sonnar 2,8/16-35 SSM)

Inspiration

Simple the early winter-morning time with a lot of fresh snow and the imposing mountains of south tyrol.

Editing

In this case I don't need really a post processing. Just a few adjustments in PS.

In my camera bag

It depends from what I want to do. Mostly I like to shot landscapes and for this I have all my equipment with me. That means more than 3 cameras (Sony and Nikon) with all the lenses and filters. Tripods, remote controller and so on.
