This shot was taken on "passo Pordoi" during a trip around the Dolomites.Time
Was a early morning shot.Lighting
I checked this place one day before, for to have a nice light (sunrise). That will give sharp contours in the snow (light,shadow) and to stand out in contrast to the rocky mountains.Equipment
The equipment which I used was (at this time) a Sony Alpha900 with the G-Lens 2.8 70-200mm on a tripod (manfrotto).Inspiration
I adore the sharp contours of the Dolomites in every time in the year, but particularly in the autumn- and winter times. The air is fresh and clear.Editing
Post processing was not really necessary just small adjustments in Photoshop.In my camera bag

As we mostly all know (I hope so) about photography is to prepare a good shot. That always means to observe the places for your shots (light conditions, weather situations, cloudy or something else). Morning light is, as well as a late afternoon, the best time to make your shots. It prevents you to sit a longer time on your PC for post processing. Make your mind, how you want to shot the whole scenery. Of course for landscape shots is a wide angle lens the better choice, but it remains open to anyone to make his choice. At least I want to say: take your time and do not haste when you want to make your shots.
