This was around late afternoon. We were driving on a safari and I was fascinated by this lone treeLighting
The cloud cover gave the picture a very benevolent yet dramatic light effect!Equipment

The play of the clouds and the lone tree gave an awesome realization of mother earth and how it looks after its beings on earth!Editing
Improved the highlights and shadows to add to the beauty of the landscapeIn my camera bag
For landscape and wildlife photography, I keep two cameras, Nikon D850 and Nikon D500. My Nikon 200-400mm f4.0 lens is an absolute must (even though its too heavy for comfort!) and I also keep a Nikon 12-24mm f2.8 wide angle and a Nikon 50mm fixed prime. My tripod is a Manfrotto and I keep plenty of spare batteries and XQD cardsFeedback
The beauty of wild and untamed Africa is mind boggling but one has to be careful wrt time of day and whether there is something striking in the view which will make the composition stand out and has the potential to create a visual story!
