Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a hotel room when I was traveling for work to San Luis Obispo, CA.

Time

This was shot at night so I could control the lighting.

Lighting

I actually used the lamps from the hotel room only.

Equipment

I shot with my Nikon D90 with a Nikon 50mm lens.

Inspiration

I was charmed with Taz’s beauty and rawness. I wanted to try and capture that.

Editing

I did some light editing with Snapseed.

In my camera bag

I usually carry my camera body, flash, and a few lenses for variety.

Feedback

First and foremost, connecting with your model is key. I try not to use flash when I can avoid it, so I play around with my settings until I get the look and feel I am going for.
