Behind The Lens
Location
This picture was taken in December 2019, when I had been to the Himalayas for snow trek. It was a life changing experience.Time
There is an interesting story behind this picture. This was about 4.30 in evening....we were scheduled to leave early morning (2.00 AM) for our last trek for summit. Hence it was necessary to sleep early so we can get up for the early morning trek. At higher altitudes body behaves a bit strange. No way I could sleep by 4.00 PM. So I decided to take a stroll nearby...it was about 1 degrees. We were camped on a slope. i decided to walk up and see what was on the other side of the peak. It took about half an hour to climb 300 meters. As soon as i reached to my surprise I found a frozen lake just 50 metres down...took my own time to go around the lake and there was a portion of lake which was in the process of freezing...this is where this picture was taken.Lighting
I was lucky to have the reflected light of setting sun from snow...that made this picture possible.Equipment

Try to ensure that you have a steady ground, since ice get a lot slippery and you may end up loosing balance and damaging your gear and hurting yourself. have fun...
