Location
This photo was taken while I was taking a walk in the maritime historical site of Point-au-Pere in Quebec, Canada.Time
It was taken late in the morning, close to noon.Lighting
Th lighting was all Mother Nature's workEquipment
This was shot on my iPhone 8, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
This in the early days of the COVID-19 quarantine situation that started in Canada, as well as everywhere else around the world. I was coming back from walking the site and I was thinking about what was going on on in the world. When I saw the perfect reflection of the lighthouse in the water pool that the melting snow created on the street I had to take my phone out to capture it. The grey sky above with the striking white of the surrounding buildings and the white snow with the black street, everything was just perfect to reflect the gloom of the situation that the world was living in. And yet, lighthouses are known to be the light that guides the ships back home safely. For me, I know that there will always be hope and light and the end of every bad situationsEditing
The only processing I did was to turn this already naturally monochrome picture into a black and white picture with the settings on my phone and then I added a filter from the ViewBug app when I uploaded the photo onto the site.In my camera bag
When I go out to take pictures I usually carry in my bag my Lumix G85 and my iPhone.Feedback
Be patient, find the right moment and keep finding new ways to look at the world around you.
