Location
This photo was taken on a sweltering summer evening on an abandoned railroad bridge connected to a line used in the old iron ore mining days.Time
It was in the evening just before sundown. The sun had just dipped below the tree line.Lighting
The light just over the trees highlighted the wildflowers, bring out the vibrant yellows and bright greens. It also highlighted the rails for perfect leading lines.Equipment
Canon 70D hand held, F 5.6, 200, ISO 640 no flashInspiration
I adore anything railroad related. Reminds me of a time long since passed. There's just a certain romance in photos taken along railroad lines. In this case, the wildflowers seemed to add that perfect extra romance. Being a daughter of a railroad man, I spent alot of time around the train yards and trains.Editing
This photo was edited in Lightroom Classic. Highlights brought down with vibrance and saturation up slightly. Clarity and noise reduction applied as well.In my camera bag
I carry an extra battery always. Tripod. Go to lenses are Canon 50mm prime, Canon 70-200 mm L, Canon 18-55 mm kit lens and Canon 100mm macro lens. ND and polarizing filters. Cleaning kit and quick reference cards.Feedback
Always seek the beauty in the ordinary. Old is gold in the right circumstances and the right timing. Try a different angle or perspective. You may be pleasantly surprised.
