Behind The Lens

Location

After a long day of baking at home, my spouse created this beautiful cheesecake. I took this photo on a sofa table that we have because I felt the rustic wood top would be a great background.

Time

This photo was taken late afternoon.

Lighting

I used filtered daylight coming through some louvred windows. the lighting was soft and warm.

Equipment

Sony a7rIII, Sony 24-70 2.8 GM lens. Handheld

Inspiration

This was the first cheesecake my wife had ever made and it turned out beautifully (tasty too). I jjust had to take the shot.

Editing

Very little post processing needed though I did work with shadows and highlights with PS.

Feedback

Lighting is the key in all photos. The key to this shot was an even, soft light. That and taking your time to focus and make sure it's clear.
